chocolate, gooey, and all around delicious! kim severson creates these chocolate chewy snowcaps, a crunchy, savory and mouth-watering treat that will have you wanting more. let's get started!

chocolate chewy snowcaps adapted from kim severson

yields 12 large cookies

3 c. confectioner's sugar

3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 tsp. salt

4 oz. 72% chocolate, chopped

1 1/2 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped

4 large egg

how to enjoy these nutty chocolate savories:

  • preheat oven to 325 degrees fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • in a medium bowl, whisk together confectioner's sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. stir in the chopped pecans, or walnuts, and chopped chocolate.

  • whisk in the egg whites until the batter thickens. to form the cookies, take a spoon and scoop a golf ball sized amount onto the baking sheet.

  • place in the oven for 12-15 minutes, until cracked at the top. let rest on the pan for 5 minutes and then place on a cookie rack. enjoy!

green sauce

this pesto-like sauce is so delicious on pizza! aside from it being tasty, it is also zero-waste because it uses carrot top greens....
